Documents submitted for an Apostille or Certificate of Authentication must comply with the following guidelines:
For birth and death certificates, the California Secretary of State can issue an Apostille for the signatures of:

county clerks and their deputies,
-
county recorders and their deputies, and
-
the State Registrar (California Department of Public Health).
If your birth or death certificate was issued by a city- or county-level agency and has the signature of a Health Officer or County Registrar (e.g. Local Registrar, Registrar of Vital Records), prior to presenting to our office for authentication, one of the following will be required:

have that birth or death certificate certified by the county clerk’s office in the county in which it was issued, or
-
obtain a certified copy of that birth or death certificate from the county recorder or the State of California Department of Public Health.
Easy steps to SAME-DAY Apostille for your Documents in the State of New York

3. We will process Apostille in the New York Department of State
4 Receive your Original Apostille

1. After we receive the scanned copies, we will prepare an original Notarized Affidavit for your document
2. Take it to the County Clerk’s Office to obtain Notary Public Authentication
3. Present the certified document to the New York Department of State Division of Licensing Services for an Apostille
4. Return the original Apostille via FedEx Overnight or International Priority to the provided address
5. Upon request, we will email you the scan copy of ready Apostille
